Release 4.2.2.0 of the CIDEON Conversion Engine for SAP PLM is now available

April 2010: In this release of the Conversion Engine 4.2.2.0 the PDF creation and document stamping is possible now for the first time using the PDF Writer and PDF Editor, on the basis of the original Adobe version 9 libraries. For both programs converter modules are available now. Additionally, the new release supports Autodesk Navisworks as a converter module.

The following changes have been implemented for the converters:

• MicroStation: Support from various user configurations
• Inventor: many neutral formats can now be converted using the Inventor Translator Addin
• MS Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Visio 2007 can now be converted directly to PDF without the indirect route using a PostScript file
• The generic converter module can now also control 64bit Batch processes
• It is now possible to stamp Chinese and Japanese characters on documents with the PDF Editor
